Velvet Noon is the sound of golden hour, lo-fi haze, and midnight city lights. The brainchild of producer and multi-instrumentalist Miles Koji, this Oakland-born artist weaves jazz textures, vinyl crackle, and downtempo beats into a sound that feels both vintage and future-facing.
Originally a session saxophonist in the Bay Area jazz scene, Miles transitioned into production during lockdown, releasing beat tapes that quickly found a global audience on chill-hop playlists and study streams. His debut album Sundown Theory is a cinematic blend of dusty keys, brushed drums, ambient samples, and introspective melodies that feel like sonic poetry.
With vibes reminiscent of Tom Misch, Nujabes, and FKJ, Velvet Noon invites listeners into a world of slow motion grooves and meditative moods—perfect for long drives, creative sessions, or late-night solitude.
